As we continue to develop our skills in the off season the balls will be hit harder and the throws will be more accurate and faster. I am recommending that all the girls have a protective fielders mask like those seen above. They are designed to protect the face in from batted balls or thrown balls. I have purchased one for Avery and I have seen a higher comfort level on her part trying to catch fly balls and balls thrown above her head. In our upcoming practices we will be focusing on the proper way to catch fly ball and it would be great for them to have their mask if you want them to have one. You can purchase these at Dick's Sporting Goods or Academy Sports. They have metal and plastic models. You can select the one your girls are most comfortable with.
